Chembra Peak | Wayanad Tourist place

Chembra Peak

Chembra Peak is a mountain in the state of Kerala, India, with an elevation of 2,100 m above sea level.

The path from a little pond to the heart-shaped lake becomes incredibly slick if you hike directly after monsoon season.

It's not a good idea to merely travel for visits. However, choosing to go on a journey will provide the ideal experience.

Due to the limited number of trekkers permitted each day (200), getting tickets can be challenging. Early in the morning, at 5:00 AM, they will begin handing out tokens. After 7:00 AM, those who receive tokens will receive admittance tickets. Five persons can journey together with a single ticket. However, if we are going on a hike, we need to show up early to get our tickets.

The reward is worth the effort... It is much simpler to ascend than to descend. One water bottle is sufficient for one person, so try not to overpack since this will make your bag heavier. In the monsoon, the route becomes extremely treacherous, making it somewhat dangerous to descend.

Entry Charge: For Indians, the entry fee is INR 20, and for foreigners, it is INR 30. Regarding the cost of the trek, a party of 10 Indian citizens will pay INR 750, while a group of 5 foreign nationals will pay INR 1500.

Timings: Anytime from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Exploration Time: 3-4 hours

Best Time to Visit: September to March
